[조이누리 기자단] 예유나 – (17) National Fisheries Research& Development Institute
Have you ever heard of institute of fish? I case you haven’t heard one, I present you the Fisheries Science Museum from National Fisheries Research& Development Institute that is shown to the public. They manage fishery resources and research marine ecosystems, and let’s get a peek of it in my seventeenth article.
National Fisheries Research& Development Institute
Southern Right Whale’s skeletal structure
Marine resource room
Sea trader’s hem
391 specimens of fish
I would like to introduce few interesting stations at this Fishery Science Museum. There is the Whale Theme Hall; you can see the model of Southern Right Whale’s skeletal structure and marine creature’s evolution process. Next I will lead you to Marine resource room to learn the marine resources and the ocean current. After that is the Marine Presentation and Breeding Room, where you can see the marine creature’s breeding process and the technology development of breeding them. Now if you will see the picture of hundreds of fish, I have brought you to Marine Creature Room. You can see 391 specimens of fish exhibited and can see their living. Ship exhibition is the last stop, where you can see the ‘Investigation 1st’ in half its size. If it seems interesting, go to http://www.nfrdi.re.kr/page?id=kr_index to find more about this organization.
Unless you can go underwater below hundreds of meters, you can’t really see the marine creature’s living and the specimen. However, this museum had given me chance to widely seek knowledge of not only marine creatures but their technology. I hope this article sounds interesting, because the more you will be interested, the more will come to the museum!
